| so having come back from the PI, all we ate was fried pork, fried eggs, fried squid, fried fish, fied rice, fried chicken at jollibee, all delicious foods. (don't get me wrong, there were healthy foods as well, but the one u cant find in the US, that are good, are fried) so i came back and decided to detox for a week. i ate oatmeal for breakfast, salad for lunch and cereal for dinner for a weak. after 5 days, i ate a kitkat, and it made my stomach nausious. must be due to the fact that my body got used to not eating unhealthy food and taking in healthier foods. same with spiritual life. if u feel as if ur not growing or not doing well spiritually, detox for a while. leave some sins behind for 5 days and intake spiritual disciplines (bible reading more, prayer more, verse memory) and you'll see how strong u can be had u been detoxing for longer periods. Daniel did the same and look how favorable the king was towards him. | | |

| There's a shoe manufacturing plant where the president invested lots of money for machinery, employee salaries, plant, shoe raw materials, etc. So one day the president asked, "how many shoes have we produced?" The manager said, "none sir." The President in shock, "NONE!!! we've been in operation for two years and we haven't produced any?!?!?!". The Manager tried to explain, "Sir, we've been so busy, to the point that we've been overtiming, running to and fro, so it's been busy." Money and time has been invested to produced NONE in the story. Now replace the shoe manufacturing plant with the church. Time and money is invested but what should the church be producing, DISCIPLES. Have they been making quality, solid, well equipped disciples? it's sad how the art of making disciples has been lost over the centuries. We need to make disciples! as per the Great Commission. excerpt from "Lost Art of Disciple Making" by Leroy Eims. How to make a disciple: teach one how to pray, spritually feed themselves, resist temptation, get up without the help of others, influence others, share the gospel, defend the gospel, and how to make a disciple. www.FishComix.com | | |
